Data Deletion Request

Last updated: 28 April 2026

Carit ("the App") is operated by Atelier Barnard SL. Carit is designed to work without user accounts and stores most of your data on your device only. A small amount of anonymous analytics, crash, and subscription data is held by our service providers. This page explains exactly what data we can delete and how to request it.

1. What is held off-device

Carit does not require a name, email, or any account creation. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous and is held by three service providers:

None of these contain your name, email address, postal address, phone number, payment card details, or advertising identifiers.

2. What is held on your device only

Your settings, saved quotes, calculation history, ring sizer calibration, supplier and caster premiums, and SG overrides are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. They never leave your device. Deleting the App from your device deletes this data immediately, with no further action needed from us.

3. How to request deletion of your off-device data

Send an email to the address below.

Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include enough information for us to locate your records. Any one of the following is enough:

You do not need to give a reason. We will not ask why and we will not try to talk you out of it.

4. What we cannot delete

If you have an active or past subscription, the underlying purchase record sits with Apple App Store or Google Play, not with us. Apple and Google retain those records for tax, refund, and legal reasons under their own policies. To delete those records you would need to contact Apple or Google directly.

What we can do is delete your anonymous record from RevenueCat, which means we no longer hold any link between your subscription and any data we control.

5. Response time

We process deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them, in line with GDPR Article 17. Most are completed within 7 days. You will receive an email confirmation when your data has been deleted from each service.

6. What gets deleted

On confirmation we will:

  1. Delete your anonymous customer record from RevenueCat, including subscription history we control.
  2. Submit a GDPR delete request for your distinct ID in PostHog, removing all events tied to that ID.
  3. Remove any user-tagged events from Sentry that match your device or App User ID.

After deletion, the App will continue to work on your device. If you reinstall, a fresh anonymous identifier is generated and treated as a new install.

7. Your rights

You can also exercise your full set of GDPR rights (access, correction, portability, objection, complaint to a supervisory authority) by emailing [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
